抹茶 – Means ‘matcha’ in Japanese
Emeyu’s highest quality organic ceremonial matcha originates from a small family-run tea plantation in the city of Wazuka in the Uji area of Japan.
Emeyu has chosen one of the highest premium ceremonial matcha which is organically grown, completely without chemicals and pesticides, and originates from the Okumidori cultivar. The tea bushes of Okumidori are known for their deep dark green color and delicate leaves. The picking takes place in the spring, and the bushes are only picked once a year, so they bushes have the time to accumulate energy and vitamins for the next growing season.
In powder form, the tea is distinguished by a fresh light green hue, and the drink has a creamy texture, mild sweetness, with a mild umami flavor and without the slightest hint of bitterness.
